FELIX SUAZO

(Havana, Cuba, 1966). Professor, art critic, researcher and curator. He graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte de la Habana in 1990. Between 2002 and 2003 he completed a Master’s degree in Museology at the University of Valladolid, Spain. He has worked as a researcher at the Galería de Arte Nacional (1997-2003) and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas (2004-2008). From 2008 to 2013 he was Exhibitions Coordinator and Curator of Periférico Caracas / Arte Contemporáneo. From 2015 to 2018 he acted as Manager of the Sala TAC at the Trasnocho Cultural Foundation in Caracas. Since 2007 he has been a member of the curatorial team of El Anexo / Arte Contemporáneo. In 2018 he was appointed Pedagogical Curator of the XIV Biennial of Cuenca, Ecuador. He is the author of the books “A diestra y siniestra. Comentarios sobre Arte y Política” (2005), “Umbrales. Museo, Curaduría, Investigación” (2013) and “Panorámica. Arte Emergente en Venezuela, 2000-2012” (2014). He currently resides in Miami, Florida, where he works as a curator and advisor for art projects
